Sec. 1. Airports are an important part of 7 Washington's economy. Airports enable travel for business or 8 recreation, allow for the transportation of cargo, and provide 9 thousands of jobs for the people of the state.10 For those living near an airport, there can also be adverse 11 impacts from aircraft operations.
