Motion 2018-14 – Fund Designation for 2019-2023 Page 1 of 2 MOTION 2018-14: 1 A MOTION OF THE PORT OF SEATTLE COMMISSION 2 directing the Executive Director to set the 2019-2023 4 Capital Improvement Plan CIP Reserve for Maritime and 5 Economic Development at $25 million; designating funding 6 in the 2019-2023 plan of finance for South King County 7 communities, development of sustainable aviation fuels, 8 support for greenhouse gas reduction, efforts to reduce air 9 emissions, and establishment of a pilot program to educate 10 and assist workers at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport; 11 directing the Executive Director to review and recommend 12 updated financial management policies as outlined in 13 Appendix B of the 2019 Port of Seattle preliminary budget 14 document; and establishing deadlines and stipulating 15 budget amounts for 2019 for the above. 16 PROPOSED 18 NOVEMBER 27, 2018 19 TEXT OF THE MOTION 21 Section 1. The Port commission hereby directs the Executive Director set the 2019-2023 23 Maritime and Economic Development Divisions Capital Improvement Plan CIP Reserve at $25 24 million, primarily for unanticipated renewal and replacement needs for existing assets and 25 secondarily, for new investments that offer financial and/or community benefits. 26 Section 2.
