We strongly urge everyone who can to attend this meeting.
The City Council has a long list of items for their part-time lobbyist, some of which are airport-related, but no obvious priority or focus. At their first discussion of this topic back in November I wrote the Mayor to ask him to focus on the Council on this. You can read that letter here.
It is our belief that pursuing a winning legislative strategy is not only the best but the only winning strategy for the future of Des Moines. We refer to this as The Long Game and we believe it is easily as important as any short term strategies and tactics such as the SAMP.
We need a full-time aviation professional to compete with the Port Of Seattle’s lobbyists and further a winning agenda for the airport communities.
